Zero Fatalities
THE OBJECTIVE: Sumnu Marketing partnered with the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety, to strengthen engagement for the state’s Zero Fatalities program. Our grassroots outreach strategy introduced Community Conversations—open dialogues designed to empower residents to take ownership of traffic safety in their neighborhoods. By connecting with educators, faith leaders, crossing guards, and local organizations, we cultivated more than 40 new partnerships and expanded program awareness across diverse communities. Through these efforts, Zero Fatalities became more than a campaign—it became a community movement toward a shared goal: ensuring every Nevadan arrives home safely.

Engagement Strategies
- Implement Community Conversations
- Develop a strategy for messaging, campaigns, and creative designs for collateral
- Develop an internet marketing strategy and plan that will allow information to be distributed on digital platforms via the KDC and strategic alliances (including minority community influencers, youth groups, jurisdictional partners, and more) in Northern NV
- Develop a strategic outreach plan for client to distribute resource information
- Establish tactics for the Channel Strategy Plan
- Provide recommendations and strategies to utilize existing relationship, particularly organizations/people of influence to connect the community to Zero Fatalities and all its outreach efforts
- Reach and collaborate with diverse populations to engage on meaningful conversations about traffic safety
- Increase accessibility to traffic safety educators and Zero Fatalities team members through conversations that put a face to a program.
- Empower Nevadans to make a difference in their local community.
- Position the program as a community partner and educational resource.
